How Turn-Based Shotgun Duels Work in BUCKSHOT
The shotgun gets loaded with a mix of lives and blanks, and then you take turns with it. Shoot your rival, or gamble on a blank aimed at yourself to hold on to the turn. Counting the shells that have already been spent is most of the skill, and the rest is selling a lie with a straight face. You can play tense 1v1 duels or sit at a 4-player table where nobody trusts anybody.
Items are what flip rounds. You can peek at a shell, rack one out of the chamber, handcuff a rival, heal, invert a shell, or steal something they were saving for later. Because of that and the turn order, a match can swing hard against you out of nowhere, so expect to lose plenty early on while you learn to read how people move.
