Speed feeds everything else. Rarer trees are the ones worth chasing, and they grow the fruit you turn into juice for cash. That money goes back into upgrading your base and your treadmill, which loops right back into more Steps and better hauls, all while you are hunting fruit mutations and filling out the Index.
